functional. It has 3 pockets on the part of the bag covered by the flag as well as 1 inside the bag itself.
cons:
quality. The canvas used is somewhat thin but as long as you don't go around running through the woods or carrying things with sharp edges (heavy hard cover books might go under that category) the bag should hold.
other:
My friends are waiting for me to die so they can take my bag. Not sure what to think of that...
If you like the show and you just don't care if anyone says anything rude to you about the bag then get it.
If you like the show but you do care then be stronger and get it anyway.

It's a deathly cute backpack for the mall or a purse for school. The seams hold up well and the fur is still plush and huggable after a year of use. However, the ears are wired so they are easy to misshape. Also, it's a bit hard to clean since the eyes and ears are felt.

(More customer reviews)I bought this for my son, he is a huge pokemon fan. It looked great and fits all his folders and books. Got it in Aug 2008 for 2008-2009 school year and it is already broken. Side pocket for water bottle broke in 2 mons and now the inside bottom is chipping off. The padding on the bottom cover plastic is wearing out and wood is chipping from it. If it chips off from the outside I would say it is from wear and tear and probably very ragged handling of my son. But it is coming from inside and he uses it to go to school and come back and they stay in one class for the whole day. For the price of the bag the quality is not acceptable.

DOMO-KUN 16" LARGE SCHOOL BACKPACK / BRAND NEW Review

(More customer reviews)Before I get to my complaint, I have to say that I completely love the look of this backpack. It's just the kind of thing I have been looking for. The size is great and it's got a lot of pockets, two on the front and two on the sides.
Unfortunately, it doesn't function very well. There's only one zipper on the main pakc, which means you can only zip it from one side to the other. I prefer backpacks that can zip up both ways. The other thing is that the main zipper is of very poor quality in general. It snags a lot while I'm zipping it up, even if I don't have a lot of things in it and if you do have a lot of items in the bag, the bag will just pop right open.
I use this back to carry my things when I bike to work and I was very alarmed when one day the bag just ripped open while I was riding to work. I had to pull over and zip it closed and open several times before it closed properly. My DSLR and wallet could have fallen out onto the road!
I will continue to use it, but I'm still very disappointed in it since it looks so great.
UPDATE: The zipper totally broke and I have to zip it at least a dozen times to get it to zip halfway, then I just leave the zipper at the top of the backpack to secure the flap and just use it half open. It's a horrible product with a really terrific design.

Final Fantasy: Cloud and Sephiroth Cellphone/Pencil Bag Review

Although the background is white and is staining black from the wear and tear of my own life, I give this product five stars. It came when it was supposed to, and it was everything I wanted. ^^

Bleach Kon Backpack Plush Bag Review

(More customer reviews)This product was delivered quickly and was everything I thought it would be. In my case, it was exactly what I wanted. It's pretty much a Kon stuffed animal with straps attached and a small pocket on his back. His body is the size of a stuffed animal which means its not very big and as such the pocket is not very big. Some people complain about it but I was not panning on holding much in it to begin with. It's a good size pocket for holding your phone, money, and ipod, which is what I use it for.

The product in the picture and the product I received was slightly different, and I uploaded images of the product I received.
The compartment of the backpack is fairly small, so do not expect to carry larger items inside. The backpack is very soft and would make a decent pillow on long trips while also carrying small items of value.
My only issues with the product is several loose threads on the straps, but that can be fixed easily by scissors.
Overall, I am happy with the backpack.
