(More customer reviews)I am a huge fan of Katniss and the series so of course I had to have the Mockingjay pin to show my support but here are the problems
This pin is so over priced. It's sad how people take advantage of others. The company charges $14 for this pin if you buy it at a store like Hot Topic or even Borders book store but here on Amazon they have been marked up to this rediculous amount. I know the sellers need to make money and the stores sell out fast so us fans are stuck paying the price, which I did pay.
Now here's what you get for your money. A cheaply made pin with a closure that doesn't stay closed. I have worn and almost lost this pin several times because it comes open and almost slipped off of my shirt.
I have to admit that the pin itself is a great representation of the cover are except that it is so tarnished looking it looks like it was found in the mines of District 12 and not the vibrant gold of Mages gift to Katniss.
Maybe it's a mutant from the capital with a tracking device used to spy on us rebel wannabe's? If that's the case this pin is 5 stars but I don't think it is.
For what it is this pin is ok but please try to find it for less if you can. As fans we get taken advantage of on every angle because they know they have us. We are hooked and we have to have so we break down and spend the money.
I say be like Katniss and say no I won't pay more!
