Don't order the 2 pack from this seller as they are charging you double the price! I am trying to help out some fellow toy collector fans or parents looking for cool toys for their children.
Okay, so now that that's out of the way I can move on to my review.
This is a great collector's piece for fans of the Alien and Predator movies. This TRU exclusive two pack comes with an 8" Classic 1979 Alien. Beautifully sculpted and well articulated. The jaw on the Alien is articulated and opens, so that the inner mouth can extend. It's a little tricky to get it to come out, I recommend using a small gripping device to nudge it out. The tail is bendable and the tail does hold it's position. Some previous Alien figures NECA has released have had issues with the tail not being cooperative. The ankles support the figure well even for it's shape and height. I have had no issues with balance and stability.
The Predator figure is a 7" sculpt of the 1987 Classic Predator with his mask off. The Predator's face looks amazing, like it came straight out of the movie. The Predator features a removable backpack, retractable wrist blades, and trophy necklaces adorn the Predator's chest. The Predator's paint detail is very true to the movie, but not as detailed as the 1/4 Scale Sculpt of the 1987 Predator shipping in April. My favorite part of this figure is the mouth, with the teeth and mandibles. Very exciting figure. However, be careful with the left arm. It's very stiff and if you try and force it to move it may break the peg in the arm. I recommend either freezing the toy or running it under hot water to help loosen the joints.
This TRU exclusive 2 pack also features skulls of both the Alien and Predator, both feature great detail making this a must for any Alien/Predator fan/collector. The mouth on the skull of the Alien even opens, but no inner mouth is featured. I hope this review helps and remember, check your local Toys R Us first before buying overly priced items on Amazon.
I also gave this an educational rating of 2 stars because I feel like every person should know and watch the Alien/Predator movies. Great movie classics.
