Yes the bag does unzip completely to reveal a town imprinted inside, but it doesn't unfold flat enough for my son to enjoy...the back pack straps get in the way, causing bumps in the "road." Otherwise it's perfect for my son to transport a portion of his Hot Wheels collection when visiting family and/or play dates with friends.
