(More customer reviews)I couldn't wait to give this boat to my 16 months old, because this boat looked so nice and fun to play with. Love the way it's made and that it is from recycled materials. Unfortunately because the bottom part is made of two different pieces (the hull in blue and the "floor boards" in brown) it has a gap in between that allowes water to seep in very quickly. If you gently place it on the water surface it is ok, but if you have an excited little guy push it into the water even a little bit, it takes on water very quickly and sinks to the bottom. First thing my son does when he gets in the tup is push down on it, and once it sinks he is not interested in the boat anymore. Maybe it is due to his age, perhaps he will be able to play with it better when he gets older, but I still think that for a boat made for small children it really shouldn't sink, especially not at that price! Another concern then is that mold can build up in between the layers which usually is the ultimate reason for me not to buy certain bath toys. Perhaps I will try to smear caulking into the space between layers to seal them together. Had I known this beforehand I wouldn't have purchased this product.
